DARLIN is a very loving Tom cat, he is a little over a year old now. He followed his mother up to my house, about a year ago, he was just a kitten. He comes up from my neighbors house every morning and every night to visit, get petted and eat. Darlin is not going home anymore, he lives here with us all the time now.
The reason I named him Darlin is, for the first several months that he came around, I thought he was a female, because he was so affectionate. I did not know that Tom cats could be that affectionate.
All he wants to do is sit on my lap, on the front porch and get petted for hours. I sit with him every night on the porch in the cold, heat or rain, lucky the porch has a roof. We spend a lot of time together. I am slowly working Darlin into the house, maybe my wife won't find out until it's to late.
UPDATE Darlin is officially a house cat. He has blended in well with everybody else, except Rosey, they touch noses every now and then. But overall they hate each other. He will not use the litter box, he comes to the bed at 3:30am every morning and wakes me so I will let him outside. As soon as I start to get up he runs to the front door and is waiting when I get there. About 30 min. later he scratches on the screen at the bedroom window to be let back in, by the time I get to the back door he is waiting. How he knows which window is the right bedroom I will never know. During the day he goes to the door like a d*g and meows until I let him out.
Darlin was neutered last month (Jan.), he is calming down just fine, he was fighting to much and leaving home to often. He will not produce any kittens that would be homeless...You should do the same with your pets, there are not enough HOMES!! The unwanted are being put to death by the thousands everyday!
Darlin wins 2nd in the Cutest Pet Contest from Animal Magic Group
